Supplemental Wage Payments |

Upon review of current IRS regulation, it has come to our attention that any payment meeting the definition of supplemental wages must be taxed at the 25% withholding rate. The following types of payments meet that definition:
- Lump-sum payments for unused accumulated annual vacation days
- Retroactive wage increases
- Severance pay
- Back-pay awards
In compliance with this mandatory federal regulation, any supplemental pay will be included in your regular paycheck but it will be listed separately and taxed at the supplemental rate of 25%.
